Harrison is located in the Ozark Mountains and has unlimited opportunity to fill your biking expectations. We have road trails and mountain trails, all varying in length and difficulty. There are several scenic bike tours located in the Ozark Mountains and are all rated difficult to very difficult. These tours are sure to take you into the heart of the Ozark National Forest. Here are the most popular tours in our area.
Harrison, Arkansas is also known for the Tour De Hills bike race held each year in April. The race kicks off the year in Arkansas and is known for the famous "Jasper Disaster". The Disaster is 62 miles long and goes through beautiful mountain country and valley settings. This is for the experienced rider because of the huge grade changes throughout. Many professional riders use the Tour De Hills as a training ride for the season. For the less experienced rider, the race offers an easy 26.5 mile and 14.2 mile course.

Harrison to Russellville Bike Tour

From Harrison, take Hwy 7 South. Scenic 7 climbs at a steady 5-7% grade for about 2 miles to "Scenic Point". This winding highway will also take you to the breathtaking "Arkansas Grand Canyon". The next 65 miles from Jasper to Russellville are generally more up then down. At the intersection of Scenic 7 and interstate 40, you will reach Russellville.

Long Route
Leaving Harrison, travel Ark 14 for 18 miles to Ark 125. Travel Ark 125 on south side of Bull Shoals Lake until you reach free ferry across Bull Shoals Lake. Turn right and proceed into Missouri for 26 miles. Turn right at junction US 60 and proceed south to Ark 5 arriving in Mountain Home.
Short Route
Leaving Harrison on S hwy 65 5 miles to intersection US 62, take US 62 through Yellville, Cotter, & Gassville into Mountain Home.
Backwoods Ozark Tour

From Harrison, Travel on Scenic 7 south 12 miles to Jasper. From Jasper, take Hwy 74 West to Boxley, turn left on Ark. 21 to Ark. 16, left on Ark. 16 to Ark. 7, the next 3 miles are downhill to Jasper.
